Frank Mathey
Partner, Solicitor
Frank is the founder of Mathey Solicitors, now known as MP&S Legal Partners. He completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney in 1973, followed by a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Wollongong in 1987. Frank was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 26 July 1974.
With over 50 years of legal experience, Frank has assisted generations of valued clients with matters ranging from preparing wills and handling property transactions to managing estate administration. His extensive knowledge and attention to detail have led to numerous successful outcomes, particularly in probate and property law matters before the Supreme Court.
Frank is known as much for his sharp legal mind as for his unique character. While he’s a man of few words, he has an uncanny ability to craft the most eloquent sentences—and to find the humour in almost any situation. (He also claims to have occasionally filled in as drummer for Def Leppard, especially when two hands were required.)
Frank said, "In my spare time, I dream of returning to Scotland to finish climbing the Munros—a challenge that, much like the law, requires patience, persistence, and a love of the journey."
Ellen Panagakos
Partner, Solicitor
Ellen joined Mathey Solicitors in 2013 as a law clerk and quickly made her mark, earning promotion to Partner in 2021. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Wollongong in 2014, was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 2 July 2015, and to the High Court of Australia in 2020.
Ellen’s expertise spans a broad range of legal areas, with a particular focus on conveyancing and property law. She played a key role in the firm’s transition to electronic conveyancing, becoming an authority on navigating the ever-evolving landscape of legal technology.
Known for her hard work and dedication, Ellen is committed to achieving the best outcomes for her clients. She is friendly, approachable, and meticulous in her work, with a genuine passion for helping clients through the often stressful processes of buying, selling, or leasing property. Ellen takes the time to understand her clients’ needs and future plans, providing clear, practical guidance every step of the way.
Ellen said, "Outside of my career, I love nothing more than spending quality time with my three children. Whether we’re camping, riding motorbikes, fishing, or hiking, I cherish making memories and enjoying the great outdoors together. These moments with my family are what truly matter, keeping me grounded and inspired."
Zorana Stanojevic
Partner, Solicitor
Zorana joined Mathey Solicitors in 2018 as a law clerk and swiftly rose through the ranks, becoming a Partner in 2021. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws at the University of New South Wales in 2019, was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 24 May 2019, and to the High Court of Australia on 19 March 2020.
While Zorana has experience across a variety of legal areas, her primary focus lies in family law and family provision claims. She finds genuine fulfilment in working closely with people and supporting them through some of life’s more challenging times. Her broad experience enables her to offer not only sound legal advice but also guidance that considers the human and emotional aspects of each matter.
Known for her empathetic nature and positive outlook, Zorana ensures that every client and case receives the individual attention it deserves. Her approachable style and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes make her a trusted advocate for our clients.
Zorana said, "Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family in Sydney and Wollongong, embracing both cities I call home."
Dua Khan
Solicitor
Dua was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2020 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology). With her strong legal knowledge and psychological insight, Dua brings a thoughtful, empathetic, and highly analytical approach to every case she handles.
Known for her friendly, approachable nature, Dua is a natural conversationalist who quickly builds rapport with clients. Her meticulous work ethic and attention to detail ensure that every aspect of a case is carefully considered, leaving no stone unturned. Dua’s ability to connect with people and her thorough understanding of the law make her an invaluable part of the team.
Her favourite part of her role is getting to know her clients on a personal level—understanding their stories and values, which allows her to provide practical and tailored legal support.
Dua said, "Outside of the office, I enjoy travelling, cooking, photography, reading, and spending time with my cat. On weekends, you might find me chasing the perfect sunrise photo at the beach or learning kickboxing—enthusiastically, if not yet perfectly!"
Sue Wisby
Receptionist
Sue is the friendly face and voice of our office, bringing nearly 38 years of experience in the legal industry. Known for her warm and approachable nature, Sue takes pride in making clients feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive.
Sue enjoys working at MP&S Legal Partners for its relaxed, stress-free atmosphere, where the focus is on genuine service and client care—values she shares wholeheartedly.
A little-known fact about Sue is that she was once a professional singer (a few years back, she likes to say!).
Sue said, "These days, I enjoy a more peaceful tempo, spending my free time kayaking in summer, listening to music, and exploring new places to eat out."
